The Rotaract Club of Blouberg together with our sponsor Rotary club have established a food garden to feed 600 children. Recently, we gathered at the farm at Klein Dassenburg to have a wholesome day filled with gardening and a lovely braai brought to us by Marius. We got together in the morning and we spent hours gathering compost, laying cardboard and filling manure and many more, we then got spoilt by Marius with an amazing steak fillet, salad, rolls and his special home made tomato sauce. We had an incredible turn up from our Rotarians and Rotaractors and the job was phenomenally done. We will keep you guys updated with how the garden goes further.

The re-usable sanitary towels have a span of up to 3 years and will ensure that the young girls do not resort to using unhygienic alternatives when on their periods. These young girls are usually from a local primary school and mostly aimed at those in Grade 6 as they have been identified by the school teachers and the vulnerable ones with the greatest of needs.
